Boudoir Photography Gallery

Boudoir photography gallery background: this shot was taken in the studio against an old cupboard door which I had borrowed from a friend. The studio lights could easily be replaced with something more readily available. The most important thing is the positioning as the image uses side lighting to highlight the beautiful curves of the models back. The other thing that I particularly like about this image is the pose, which seems tender and sensual.

Technical Information

Camera: Canon EOS 40D DSLR

Lens: EF28-70f2.8L at 50mm

Exposure: f9, 1/125, ISO200

Lighting

Snooted studio light behind and to the right hand side. Softbox to the front/left. If possible you should aim to have the rear light brighter than the front fill light. The fill light is also softer.

Post Processing (Photoshop)

This shot of Katie has been converted to black and white and given a slight warm tint. I have also boosted the contrast in a curves adjustment layer to really make the sensual lines of the back stand out.
